Madison, WI—On Tuesday, Americans for Prosperity – Wisconsin (AFP-WI) hosted a tele town hall event with Congressional Rep. Tom Tiffany (WI-07) on the various ways the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) will improve our country and delves how the bill will help Wisconsinites.
Tiffany covered a range of topics, from how the One Big Beautiful Bill will significantly bolster national defense to how it helps senior citizens, those in small communities, and the average Wisconsin family.
Wisconsin would have been hit with an approximate $2,000 tax increase if not for the extension of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act within the OBBB. Tiffany noted, “It’s expected that families are going to bring home $7,000 more each year as a result of those changes.”
Congressman Tiffany also covered issues like energy costs and how the use of reliable energy is paramount to staying competitive and for helping our farmers and manufacturers.
During the tele town hall, Rep. Tom Tiffany said:
“This is going to kick off a decade of prosperity if we continue to move in the direction of free markets and free people. China gets lower prices for their electricity as they build coal plants. In the meantime, they sell us the wind turbines and solar panels. That’s a loss for Wisconsin. We need to reverse course and get back to baseload power.”
After the tele town hall, AFP-WI State Director Megan Novak issued the following statement:
“Rep. Tiffany’s message is clear—the One Big Beautiful Bill drives Wisconsin towards a future of safer communities and towards economic growth and prosperity. Our families, manufacturers, farmers, senior citizens, and our most vulnerable are all getting what they voted for back in November—a renewed hope for achieving the American Dream.”
