Madison, WI – Americans for Prosperity grassroots activists from across the country traveled to Capitol Hill this week as part of Americans for Prosperity’s ongoing Protect Prosperity campaign to advocate for President Trump’s tax cuts.
AFP-WI State Director Megan Novak traveled to Washington and conducted four meetings to urge Wisconsin lawmakers to extend provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), which saves the average Wisconsin family $2,099 in federal taxes per year and preserves 14,235 jobs throughout the state. Megan Novak also discussed passing the rescissions package from the White House to eliminate $9.4 billion in wasteful spending.
AFP-WI State Director Megan Novak released the following statement:
“This week, we met with lawmakers and urged them to pass President Trump’s reconciliation package and extend the TCJA tax cuts so that every Wisconsin family keeps more of their hard-earned money and saves on their federal taxes.
“We must prevent the largest tax increase in history from hitting Wisconsin families and businesses. We look forward to working alongside policymakers to see the TCJA made permanent.”
