AFP-WI Announces New Round of Legislative Endorsements

Madison, WI – Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin (AFP-WI) today announced three new endorsements for the State Assembly, ahead of the Wisconsin primary elections in August.

As the state’s premier grassroots organization, AFP is committed to advancing economic prosperity, education freedom, and good policy that puts Wisconsinites first. AFP-WI previously endorsed State Sen. Duey Stroebel for State Senate.

AFP-WI State Director Megan Novak made the following statement:

“We’re thrilled to support these three candidates in their primary races in August. Knodl, Gustafson, and Voss are staunch advocates for freedom and committed to prioritizing prosperity and opportunity for Wisconsinites. All three are principled leaders who will champion what is right, even if it means standing up to the status quo.

“AFP-WI will put the full force of its grassroots army behind these candidates to help elect leaders who put Wisconsinites first.”

Endorsed Candidates:

State Sen. Dan Knodl (AD-24)

Knodl is an exemplary leader who is not afraid to fight for Wisconsinites. He is a leading voice for expanding educational opportunities for students and families and a champion of hardworking Wisconsinites. He promises to fight for labor reforms to protect worker freedom. Knodl has the experience and knowledge necessary to be a leader on principled policy that helps all Wisconsinites. A current state senator, Knodl is seeking to return to the Assembly and once again represent the 24th district.

State Rep. Nate Gustafson (AD-55)

Gustafson is a policy champion and strong AFP partner in the fight for freedom and against cronyism. He supports expanding access and lowering cost of health care, champions families rights on education freedom, and is a strong advocate for tax reform to eliminate the state income tax and put more money in the pockets of Wisconsinites. Nate is seeking a second term representing the 55th Assembly District.

Lori Voss (AD-69)

Voss promises to be a “tremendous advocate” for Wisconsinites on everything from healthcare, taxes, and regulatory reform. As a small business owner, a veteran of the Wisconsin National Guard, and an EMT first responder, Voss knows firsthand how regulations and corporate cronyism burdens Wisconsin families and businesses. She promises to champion policies to ensure Wisconsin is the best place to do business, work, and live.
